Woman arrested after fleeing from police in St. John's

Just prior to midnight on Saturday the RNC in St. John's observed a 26-year-old female who was known to Police walking in the downtown area. Police conducted a records check that showed that the female was on a curfew to remain inside her residence after 9:00 pm.

Officers attempted to arrest the female but she fled on foot. Police caught up with the female who was still attempting to flee.

She was then arrested for breaching her court order and resisting arrest.

Officers also determined that she had an outstanding warrant.

The woman was taken into custody and held to appear in court.
