At Least Two People were Taken to Hospital Following a Two-Vehicle Collision in Mount Pearl on Wednesday

Firefighters with the St. John’s Regional Fire Department were alerted to a vehicle leaking gas at around 2:40 p.m. on Wednesday on Ruth Avenue near the intersection of First Street in Mount Pearl.
Crews arrived to find a two-vehicle collision on Ruth Avenue between First Street and Roosevelt Avenue. At least two people were assessed by paramedics and firefighters where they were then sent to hospital, with one person going to hospital with what appeared to be a back injury. The injuries sustained during the collision are believed to be minor in nature.
Traffic was down to one lane in both directions a Police, paramedics and firefighters attended to the incident. Both vehicles involved in the collision sustained moderate to significant damage.
