Woman arrested after entering hotel room and stealing vehicle

On Saturday morning the RNC responded to a complaint of an unknown female inside a customer’s room at a hotel in downtown St. John’s.

When officers arrived, the female fled the area in a stolen vehicle that she had stolen from the persons renting the hotel room.

A short time later, police located the vehicle in the downtown area and arrested the 39 year old female.

The female was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, theft under $5000, unlawfully in a dwelling and two breaches of her probation order.

The woman was taken into custody and was held for a court appearance.
