Woman arrested after attempting to disarm a police officer

A woman has been charged with attempting to disarm a police officer after police responded to an unknown trouble call at a residence in downtown St John’s just after midnight.

Officers responded to a report of unknown trouble and attempted to detain a 24-year-old female.

The female grabbed and pulled at the officer’s duty belt before being arrested.

The accused will appear in court this morning.
