Woman arrested after a fraud scheme in the metro region
The RNC has arrested a 51-year-old woman after a fraud scheme in the metro region.
Paula Malandruccolo, of Kitchener, Ontario, has been charged with eight counts of illegally possessing or trafficking government identity documents, identity fraud, uttering forged documents, fraud over $5000.00, and failure to comply with a court order.
Police arrested Malandruccolo after discovering that she had obtained a cell phone using false identification at a business on Pippy Place in St. John’s.
Malandruccolo had obtained a high quantity of valuable merchandise by using false identification.
The accused was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
RNC says they are working to determine if there was any further fraudulent activity.
