Wildlife Enforcement Seeking Information on Stephenville Crossing Poaching Incidents

Resource Enforcement Officers are asking for the publics assistance to support an investigation related to recent reports of caribou poaching in the Stephenville Crossing area.

Several caribou have been shot and left while other caribou appear to have been shot and removed from the area.

The location where these incidents are taking place is not located within a designated Caribou Management Area. The caribou use the areas around Stephenville Crossing as an overwintering habitat.
