Many businesses and services across Newfoundland and Labrador will operate on holiday hours or close altogether for Victoria Day.

Government offices, banks and most schools will be closed for the holiday. Canada Post mail collection and delivery will not operate, and municipal offices in many communities will also be closed.

Most major grocery stores and retail outlets are expected to either close or operate on reduced hours. Shoppers are encouraged to check with individual businesses before heading out.

Liquor stores operated by the Newfoundland Labrador Liquor Corporation will be closed for the holiday.

Public transit services in some municipalities may operate on a reduced or holiday schedule.

Garbage and recycling collection schedules could also change in some areas, with residents advised to check with their local municipality for updated pickup information.

Many restaurants, convenience stores, gas stations and tourist attractions are expected to remain open, although hours may vary by location.
