Western Health has set up vaccination clinics in several locations in the region for vaccines this week.

On Monday there were clinics in Stephenville and Burgeo. Today there will be clinics in Stephenville and Isle aux Morts. Wednesday clinics will be operating in Port aux Basques and Castor River followed by clinics on Thursday in St. George’s, Pollards Point, and Port aux Basques.

These clinics are for individuals aged 70 and older, Indigenous individuals and home support workers. Vaccination is available by appointment only and for people who are in the current priority groups.

Those in the current priority group and are unable to leave their home, must pre-register for a vaccination. When you pre-register, please use telephone as your preferred method of contact. When you are contacted to book your appointment, you can indicate that you are unable to leave your home and arrangements for a home visit will be made to receive your vaccine. The scheduling of home visits will be dependent on vaccine supply.

In addition to the clinics noted above, AstraZeneca vaccination clinics are ongoing and individuals aged 55 to 64 are encouraged to book an appointment for their vaccine.
