Weight restriction on Ochre Pit Brook Bridge

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure has implemented a weight restriction on Ochre Pit Brook Bridge in Ochre Pit Cove.

Effective immediately, the limit has been reduced to 20 tonnes.

The limit was needed following a recent inspection of the bridge.

Planning is underway for a temporary structure, which should be in place in the coming weeks. After that, a tender will be issued for the permanent replacement of the bridge.

Traffic can safely continue to use the bridge, pending the required load limit in the meantime.
