Weapons call in St. John's lands man in jail

A 34-year-old male is in police custody after the RNC responded to a call of a weapons offence in the east end of St. John’s.

Around 2:40 am officers approached a residence and the male had a short interaction with police before running out of the back door.

Police contained the area and a K-9 unit was able to track the male who was hiding in the backyard of a nearby property.

The man was arrested and charged with several breaches of court orders. He was transported to the lockup and held to appear in court.
