The PC Shadow Minister of Finance Tony Wakeham says the NLMA ending talks with the government could not have come at a worse time.
Wakeham said that the government needs to, "get back to the table and negotiate in good faith."
The Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association suspended negotiations with the province last week.
The association says that both Health Minister John Haggie and Finance Minister Siobhan Coady said that the provincial government will make no new investment in physician services to help improve physician recruitment and retention.
