On August 28th, 2024, at around 7:05 p.m. Wednesday evening, emergency responders rushed to the scene of a motor vehicle collision on Main Road between Ryan's Place and Heffernans Place in Goulds.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Collision Reconstructionists, along with Operational Patrol Services, Police Dog Services, and Traffic Services, swiftly arrived to handle a serious motorcycle collision.
The road closure lasted for several hours as authorities meticulously investigated the tragic incident.

(St. John’s, NL) August 29, 2024 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is investigating a fatal collision which occurred in the Goulds area of St. John’s.
Emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle around 7:05 p.m. Wednesday (August 28) in the area of Main Road, where a 44-year-old man was pronounced deceased.
The RNC is sending sincere condolences to the family and friends.
RNC collision analysts are working with the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death and is appealing for information, including video footage (CCTV and dash-cam) from the area that may be connected to the collision.
