The province has welcomed a group of Ukrainians to Newfoundland and Labrador.

The flight arrived on Monday evening.

The provincial government and the Association for New Canadians is working to provide jobs, housing, and support to the newcomers.

All arriving Ukrainians have been granted the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel Visa that legally allows them to live and work in Canada for up to three years.
