Two teens arrested after crime spree in Stephenville
The RCMP arrested two individuals after a crime spree in Stephenville.
Two individuals, 18-year-old Zachary Young and a youth were arrested this morning following several reports of property damage in Stephenville.
While on patrol early this morning the RCMP came upon the pair actively damaging a vehicle that was parked in a driveway on Woodland Drive.
Zachary Young was armed with a knife and the youth was armed with an Airsoft handgun pellet gun.
They were using the weapons to cause damage to multiple vehicles by slashing tires and shooting at the vehicles. Both of them were wearing black ski masks.
The two ran from the police but were arrested without further incident and were transported to the detachment.
The youth, who is charged with multiple counts of mischief, disguise with intent, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and using an imitation weapon during the commission of a criminal offence, was released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.

The RCMP is asking residents who reside in the areas of Main Street, Queen Street, Hillview Avenue and Gallant Street to check their property and report any damage.
