Two People Injured Following Assault

On Tuesday morning the RNC responded to a report that an assault had occurred.

Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the victim/complainant who alleged they were assaulted by a person know to them and they presented with visible minor injuries.

Officers engaged into an investigation and located the alleged suspect in this matter in an attempt to try and determine what had taken place.

Once the alleged suspect was located they too presented with minor injuries that were alleged to have been inflicted upon them by the complainant.

As a result of the investigation and due to the fact that both persons involved in the matter appeared to have been injured by the other, both persons involved were arrested and charged with an assault against each other. Both were released to appear in provincial court at a later date.
