Two people were displaced following a apartment fire in the Center city of St. John’s on Tuesday.

Just before 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday Firefighters with the St. John’s Regional Fire Department (SJRFD) were called to 285 Freshwater Road.

When crews arrived a fire that was located on a stove on the third storey of the apartment building had caused damage to the area surrounding the stove. A resident tired to extinguish the flames by using a blanket but was unsuccessful.
