Two people are facing charges after the RNC responded to a break and enter in progress at a residence in Conception Bay South on Thursday evening.

Police were called to the home at about 6:20 p.m. on Aug. 6. When officers arrived, they saw a man and a woman running from the residence.

The RNC's police dog unit was deployed, leading to the arrest of the female suspect. Police said the 27-year-old woman sustained a minor injury during the arrest and was taken to hospital before being transported to the St. John's lockup.

She was charged with breaking and entering, resisting arrest and breaching a release order.

A short time later, officers located the male suspect walking along Conception Bay Highway and took him into custody. The 35-year-old man was transported to the St. John's lockup and charged with breaking and entering and resisting arrest.
