Two New Cases of COVID-19 in Eastern Health

There are two new cases of COVID-19 in Newfoundland and Labrador. This brings the total number to 261. The new cases are in the Eastern Health Region.

Of these cases, 4 are in hospital, 2 of which are in ICU. 244 have recovered. So far 9,458 have been tested. There are now 14 active cases.

To date, there have been three deaths.

Regional Breakdown: Eastern Health 243 Central Health 8 Western Health 4 Labrador-Grenfell Health 6 Dr. Fitzgerald said that these new cases are not unexpected.

Minister Haggie said that as of this morning, there were 1,336 applications for exceptions to enter the province. Most are people relocating and caregivers.

There has been a 406% increase in web traffic to bridgethegapp.ca from March 2019 to March 2020.
