Two Men Charged with Mischief Following Downtown Vandalism Incident

Two men have been charged with mischief after allegedly spray painting city property in the downtown area of St. John's late Tuesday night.

Officers responded to a complaint around 10:29 p.m. regarding two individuals vandalizing public property. When officers arrived on the scene, they located the suspects, prompting a brief foot pursuit.

A 21-year-old and a 22-year-old man were apprehended and taken into custody.

Both have been charged with mischief and subsequently released with a promise to appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
