Two injured in separate assaults in St. John's

On Sunday afternoon, the RNC responded to an assault that occurred at a residence in the centre area of St. John's. A 20-year-old female was arrested for assault with an edged weapon and assault causing bodily harm. The victim’s injuries were non-life threatening.


Also on Sunday, the RNC were called to an assault that occurred at a centre city residence. On scene police observed visible injuries on the victim who had called police. Officers arrested a 30-year-old male who was known to the victim. He was charged with assault, assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, property damage, and several breaches of court orders. The victim’s injuries were non-life threatening.
