Two individuals arrested following consecutive thefts in Corner Brook
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has made arrests following consecutive thefts in Corner Brook.
On Monday (Dec. 9), shortly after 10 p.m., Operational Patrol Services responded to a report of a theft that had just occurred at a business on Mill Road. A male and female had fled in a vehicle after taking merchandise. Approximately 10 minutes later, the RNC received a report of another theft from a business on Murphy Square. Responding officers determined that it was the same male and a female involved, and they had once again left the area in a vehicle.
At approximately 10:30 p.m., the suspects were located in the vehicle in the area of Bannister’s Road and placed under arrest. A 35-year-old female and a 26-year-old male have each been charged with two counts of theft. The accused were held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
