Two individuals arrested after a traffic stop in St. John's

On Thursday around 4:00 pm, the RNC conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the centre city of St. John’s after observing a male and a female wanted on outstanding warrants.

Two individuals were arrested.

The 40-year-old male was charged with assault with a weapon, three counts of breach of a release order, and performing a stunt on a highway. His vehicle was impounded for three days.

The 37-year-old female passenger was arrested under five separate judicial warrants.

Both individuals were transported to the St. John’s City Lock up and held to appear in court.
