Two deaths, 455 cases, and testing capacity exceeded



Today there are 455 new cases of COVID-19.


Additionally, as a result of testing capacity being exceeded at the provincial laboratory between December 29, 2021 – January 6, 2022, and samples being sent out of the province for testing, an additional 680 cases are being reported today arising from these results.

There have been two more deaths in the province.


There are four people in hospital.


There have been 122 recoveries leaving 5,955 active cases.


Minister Haggie will provide more information at 3:30 pm on the out-of-province testing.
