Two arrested following theft from Happy Valley-Goose Bay dealership
The RCMP has charged two people following the theft of a truck from a Happy Valley-Goose Bay dealership.
Police charged 41-year-old Anton Russell and 35-year-old Natasha Pottle.
Officers were called to a dealership and learned that the establishment was broken into. Multiple items were stolen, including a 2023 Ford F-150. They located the stolen vehicle later that day and attempted to conduct a traffic stop with the driver. The vehicle sped away at a high rate of speed – in the interest of public safety, it was not pursued.
Shortly after, the vehicle was found abandoned in a snow bank.
The two suspects were tracked to a nearby residence, where they were both taken into custody and the stolen property was recovered.
Russel faces charges of theft of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property over $5000, three counts of break and enter, mischief, and failing to comply with court-ordered conditions.
Pottle is charged with operating a conveyance while prohibited, failing to stop for police, dangerous operation, break and enter, theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of possession of stolen property, and breach of probation.
