In the early hours of Saturday, the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to a disturbance at a residence in the downtown area of St. John’s.

Officers arrived at the scene around 2:40 a.m. and discovered a 46-year-old woman with an outstanding warrant for her arrest. They also determined that a 35-year-old man present at the residence was under a court order prohibiting contact with the woman.

Both individuals were taken into custody—the man for breaching his court order and the woman on the outstanding warrant. They were transported to the St. John’s lockup and are scheduled to appear in court.
