Two arrested after assault on George Street

Just before midnight last night, the RNC were called to a disturbance at an establishment on George Street in St. John's.

Police discovered that two patrons were causing issues, and when staff members tried to intervene, an altercation ensued. One staff member had injuries that required medical attention.

Two men were arrested. A 29-year-old male was charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm. A 24-year-old male was charged with assault with a weapon.
