The appointments of two men to the Order of Canada have been terminated, according to notices published in the Canada Gazette.

The notices said the appointments of Peter Dalglish and Jacques Lamarre were terminated by an ordinance signed by the Governor General on April 15, 2026.

Dalglish was convicted of sexually assaulting children. Lamarre had his engineering license revoked and was issued a $75,000 fine for collusion and corruption.

The Order of Canada is one of the country’s highest civilian honours, recognizing individuals for outstanding achievement, dedication to the community and service to the nation.
