Trump extends ceasefire with Iran

U.S. President Donald Trump said that the ceasefire will be extended between the United States and Iran. The ceasefire was set to expire on Tuesday.

Trump said the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz will continue.

The blockade will continue until a deal is reached with Iran.

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the most strategically important waterways in the world. It connects the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman, which then leads to the Arabian Sea.

At its narrowest point, it’s about 33 km wide, with shipping lanes only about 3 km wide in each direction.
