Truck possibly stolen at gunpoint in St. John's

Police are looking to speak with the operator of this vehicle.

The RNC is investigating a violent vehicle theft in St. John’s yesterday.

Police say that at approximately 2:50 pm on Monday officers responded to a request for assistance on Petty Harbour Road, in the area of Forest Pond Road, in St. John’s.

A black 2012 Dodge RAM pickup truck with the license plate number CGO 976 had been stolen, and it was believed firearms offences had occurred.

There was nobody injured in the course of the event.

Police are seeking any video footage on Petty Harbour Road around the time of the event. In addition, officers are seeking the operator of a white Toyota SUV that had picked up a male on the side of the road on Petty Harbour Road shortly before police response.
