Trans-Canada Highway closed in both directions west of Thorburn Lake

UPDATE: One lane of the TCH has now reopened to alternating traffic after an earlier collision west of Thorburn Lake. All motorists are asked to follow directions from traffic control personnel.

First responders remain on scene – please use patience and caution while travelling through the area.

The Trans-Canada Highway is closed in both directions west of Thorburn Lake, at the bridge over the Southwest River.

Police are on scene, and the highway is expected to be closed for several hours.
