Three people taken to hospital after two-vehicle collision in St. John's

Emergency personnel received multiple 911 calls for a Multi-Vehicle Collision at the intersection of Columbus Drive and Old Pennywell Road in Central St. John's.

At around 9:00 p.m. fire crews arrived on the scene and reported that two vehicles were involved and one SUV was rolled over on its side.

Firefighters with the rescue team had to use the jaws of life to rescue the two individuals from the overturned SUV.

All individuals in the collision sustained what are believed to be minor injuries.

The RNC has half of the intersection closed at this time to continue their investigation into the incident.
