Three people arrested after Corner Brook drug bust

Three people have been arrested after police executed a search warrant at a residence in Corner Brook.

On Tuesday afternoon the RCMP-RNC Joint Force Operation West executed a search warrant on a home on Petley Street.

Police seized two tasers, an imitation rifle, a quantity of cash, contraband tobacco, a large quantity of prescription pills, and further evidence to support drug trafficking.

Owen Barnes, 41, and Danielle Wight, 38, face charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Michael Park, 38, is charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking prescription pills.

All three were released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.
