Three Charged With Murder in St. John’s

The RNC has charged two men and one woman with murder following a homicide in St. John’s on Wednesday.

On Wednesday morning the RNC responded to a potential weapons offence in the area of Golf Avenue at St. Clare Avenue. On arrival, officers determined that a physical altercation had occurred, and individuals involved had accessed a property on Golf Avenue prior to police arrival. A man was located on the ground in the area and was determined to be deceased.

Following containment of the property on Golf Avenue, two men and two women exited the property and were taken into custody in connection with the investigation.

Police have charged 50-year-old Jason Wells, 41-year-old Bradley Morrell and 36-year-old Veronica Whalen with second degree murder in connection with the death of a 31-year-old man in St. John’s. The accused individuals will appear in Provincial Court today in relation to the charges.
