Three arrested in connection with seven break-ins on the Northern Peninsula
The RCMP has arrested three people in relation to a number of break-and-enters in St. Anthony.
Police arrested and charged 28-year-old Tara Mitchell, 20-year-old Dominick Igloliorte, and a youth. The three were charged with seven break-and-enters dating back to October 2022.
The RCMP is thanking the public for information that lead to the arrests.
Police say that the three were arrested on June 5 and June 6 and are alleged to have been involved in five commercial break-and-enters that occurred between May 29, and June 4 at The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 17, Flavor Crisp Chicken, Raleigh Sports, Graham’s Auto Repairs, and Scott’s Auto Body and Repair.
Charges have also been laid in relation to break and enters that occurred in St. Anthony at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 17 in October of 2022, and Flavor Crisp Chicken in November of 2022.
Tara Mitchell is charged with break and enter and breach of probation. Dominick Igloliorte is charged with seven counts of break and enter, two counts of theft over $5000.00, three counts of theft under $5000.00, and seven counts of mischief under $5000.00.
The youth, who cannot be identified as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with break and enter, theft over $5000.00, and mischief under $5000.00.
All three individuals were released from custody and will appear in court at later dates.
