Three arrested after RNC intercept identity theft operation



Back on Sunday the RNC received a report pertaining to potential identity theft, and a fraudulent purchase of a vehicle.


A vehicle was transported from Alberta after being purchased fraudulently using a male victim’s identity.


As a result, three males were arrested in connection with the investigation.


At this time a 32-year-old male from St. John’s has been charged with fraud over $5000.00, forgery, unlawfully possessing another’s identity, identity fraud, and failure to comply with a court order.


The accused was released to appear in court at a later date. The investigation is ongoing.
