Thousands without power across the Island

Thousands of customers are without power across Newfoundland.

Newfoundland Power is reporting outages in most of its service areas. The outage was reported around 1:50 p.m. and is impacting customers across the Island.

The cause of the outage is due to an issue at Muskrat Falls.
