The Simpsons Announces Change to Characters of Colour

The Simpsons are taking a step toward equality by announcing the white voice actors will no longer play characters of colour.

The producers made the announcement via a statement on Friday.

Characters such as Apu, police officer Lou, Bumblebee Man, and Dr. Hibbert are all voiced by white actors.

The statement did not say whether or not the characters will continue to appear on the show.
