Text message scam circulating about speed cameras

Residents are reminded to be on the lookout for a new texting scam.

There is a fraudulent text message regarding speed camera tickets is circulating within the province. Recipients should not click on the provided link. Such messages should be deleted and phone number blocked.

The Department of Government Modernization and Service Delivery  is reminding residents that speed camera tickets and information about how to pay them is delivered by registered mail and is never communicated through text messages.
