Teen Slips on Snow While Resisting Arrest on Metrobus

Writer: Web WritersWeb Writers

On the Sunday afternoon, RNC officers from Operational Patrol Services responded to a disturbance on a Metrobus in the city centre area of St. John's.

While police were addressing the situation, an unrelated 17-year-old attempted to interfere by pushing one of the officers.

As police moved to arrest the teen, he attempted to flee by jumping off the bus but lost his footing on the snow-covered ground and fell.

Officers quickly took him into custody and later released him to his parents. The teenager now faces charges, including assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, and obstruction, with a future court date pending.
