Teen shows up at hospital with serious injuries; 19-year-old arrested

A 19-year-old man has been arrested following a serious incident that left a teenage girl hospitalized with multiple injuries.

RNC officers responded to a call for assistance from the Janeway Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Centre just before 11:00 p.m. last night. A young female had arrived at the hospital suffering from serious injuries, including puncture wounds.

Following a brief investigation, police arrested a 19-year-old male in the Conception Bay South area. He was transported to the St. John’s City Lockup and is facing multiple charges, including Assault Causing Bodily Harm.
