TCH reopens west of the Long Harbour exit after collision

UPDATE: Whitbourne-Placentia RCMP advises that the Trans-Canada is now open in both directions.

EARLIER: The RCMP is advising motorists that the Trans-Canada Highway is currently closed in both directions two kilometres west of the Long Harbour exit due to a motor vehicle collision.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and to exercise patience.
