Suspended Driver Caught Owing Over $18,000 in Fines #nltraffic

A 35-year-old suspended driver owing more than $18,000.00 in fines now faces a court appearance following a traffic stop conducted by Bay Roberts RCMP on Monday.

An officer on patrol in the community of Brigus conducted a traffic stop on a car that was being operated by a known suspended driver on Route 60. In addition to owing a large amount of fines, police found that the driver was operating the car without insurance.

The car was seized and impounded.
