Much of Newfoundland enjoys a pleasant mix of sun and cloud Friday, with the brightest conditions stretching across western and central areas of the Island. Sunshine dominates in communities including Corner Brook, Grand Falls-Windsor, Marystown and Port aux Basques, making for an ideal day to spend outdoors.

Across northeastern and eastern Newfoundland, skies feature a mix of sun and cloud. Areas including Gander, Port Saunders, St. Anthony and St. John's remain largely dry under partly sunny skies.

Labrador sees more unsettled weather. Showers move through Happy Valley-Goose Bay, while Nain and Mary's Harbour experience a mix of sun, cloud and scattered showers. Hopedale sees partly cloudy conditions.
