A few afternoon showers are on the way

It is cloudy across most of Newfoundland and Labrador this morning, and temperatures are ranging from 3 to 8 in Labrador and 5 to 11 in Newfoundland.

The day is starting pleasantly along the west coast, but showers will move in late this afternoon, bringing 2 to 4 mm of rain; rain will continue overnight. There is a chance of showers in central Newfoundland and along the south coast. On the Avalon, 2 to 4 mm of rain is expected this afternoon. Highs from 10 to 15 are expected.

Sunny skies are expected along the southeast coast of Labrador, and there is a chance of showers elsewhere. Highs will range from 6 to 12.
