Student Financial Assistance Applications Open for 2026-27 Academic Year

Students planning to attend post-secondary institutions this fall can now apply for financial assistance for the 2026-27 academic year, according to the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.

The department said applications are being accepted for loans and non-repayable grants designed to help students access and pay for post-secondary education.

Eligible post-secondary students who receive a provincial student loan and successfully complete a full course load may also qualify for the Provincial Government’s Debt Reduction Grant Program. The program can significantly reduce or eliminate provincial student debt for qualifying students.

Students are encouraged to apply early to ensure funding is in place before the start of the upcoming academic year.
