Structure Fire Closes Section Of Thorburn Road In Portugal Cove-St. Philip's

A structure fire has prompted the closure of a section of Thorburn Road in Portugal Cove-St. Philip's as emergency crews respond to the scene.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary and members of the Portugal Cove-St. Philip's Fire Department are at a structure fire near 850 Thorburn Rd.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes while emergency personnel work at the scene.

The affected section of road extends along Thorburn Road east of Bennetts Road and west of the Outer Ring Road overpass.
