Stolen vehicle in Carbonear ends up fleeing RNC in St. John's

At 3:35 a.m. members of the RNC responded to Irving on Kenmount Road, where a wanted person by the RCMP was reported to be getting gas in a stolen vehicle from Carbonear.

As officers got on scene, the driver fled, colliding with a taxi and two RNC police vehicles.

A very short pursuit was shut down for public safety as the driver is known to police and has a dangerous history of driving offences. This investigation is still ongoing.

Police are requesting any sightings of this white Honda Accord with plate number HXZ084, which now has extensive front-end damage be reported to police.
