Staffing shortage prompts closure of emergency room at the Green Bay Health Centre

There will be a temporary closure of the emergency room at the Green Bay Health Centre in Springdale starting on Monday due to a staffing shortage.

On Monday there will be a closure from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. The department will open at 8:00 pm and remain open until Wednesday, August 9 at 8:00 am. From there there will be a closure from Wednesday at 8:00 am to Friday.

During the period of temporary closure, residents requiring emergency services are advised to call 911 or proceed to the nearest emergency room at Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor.
