St. John's to observe St. George’s Day


In observance of the St. George’s Day holiday on Monday, the weekly St. John's City Council meeting will take place on Tuesday at 3 p.m.


Most city offices will be closed.


Robin Hood Bay is open for commercial users only from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.


Paid parking by-laws are still in effect including paid parking regulations.

All recreation facilities will be open and public washrooms will be open at Bannerman Park, Bowring Park and Quidi Vidi Lake.


St George's Day is to remember the patron saint of England. The anniversary of his death is usually observed on April 23.
