St. John's to mark Seniors Week

The City of St. John's will mark Seniors Week from October 3 to 7. The theme this year is ‘Seniors Reconnecting’.

There will be a full week of programming including fitness classes, swimming, and an information session with Credit Counselling Services NL about stretching a loonie to a toonie.

Registration is required for all events.

There will also be a flag raising at City Hall, and a proclamation during the Council meeting.

During the proclamation, Council will recognize National Seniors Day and United Nations International Day of Older Persons. The Senior of the Year for 2022, Jocelyn Delaney, will also be recognized at this time.
